ITINENARY

DAY 1: CHIANG RAI ARRIVAL (MEALS: NO)

Upon your arrival at Chiang Rai, our driver and guide will pick you up at the airport and drop you off at your hotel for check-in. You stay overnight at a hotel in Chiang Rai.

DAY 2: CHIANG RAI AND MAE KOK RIVER – ELEPHANT TREKKING (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you go to visit the local market to discover the famous products here. Then you visit:

Wat Phra Kaew: the most famous temple in Thailand, which is decorated with the Emerald Buddha.

Wat Phra Singh: the place where one of the most beautiful Buddha statues in Thailand is still kept. Next, you depart to visit the Black House or Baan Dam – the unique creation of national artisan Thawan Duchanee. This is a harmonious combination of art, museum and part house interspersed with some modern, sophisticated designs.

You have lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon: you take the boat trip on the Mae Kok River from Chiang Rai to Karen village – you will experience riding elephants for about 1 hour and feeding them.

You return to Chiang Rai to rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Chiang Rai.

DAY 3: CHIANG RAI – MAE SALONG – CHIANG SAEN (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you depart for Northern Thailand – which owns a poetic landscape with many beautiful green trees. You’ll explore your surroundings and the way to Mae Salong. You will climb and descend the romantic green tea hills. You will have the opportunity to enjoy delicious teas here.

At Doi Mae Salong, you’ll visit two ethnic minority villages: Loyo’s Akah village and Ban Hanygo’s Lisu village. After that, you continue to visit Mae Fah Luang botanical garden. Next, you visit the Golden Triangle – a place famous for its poetic scenery bordering 3 countries: Thailand, Myanmar and Laos.

You return to the hotel to rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Chiang Saen.

DAY 4: CHIANG SAEN – THATON – CHIANG MAI (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you depart for Thaton. On the way, you will stop at Patai village to visit the Padong Karen tribe – this tribe is famous for its women wearing copper necklaces around their necks. You will learn about traditional Chinese medicines – medicines are obtained from herbs, roots, plants….

Afternoon: You are heading to Chiang Mai – the capital of Northern Thailand. You stop to visit the labyrinth of underground galleries in Chiang Dao. You stay overnight at a hotel in Chiang Mai.

DAY 5: CHIANG MAI CITY TOUR AND DOI SUTHEP (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you will walk around and learn about the old town in Chiang Mai with its old walls. You will enjoy the most beautiful temples such as: Wat Phra Singh, Wat Phan Tao, Wat Chedi Luang

Then, you visit the small streets with traditional houses and experience the rickshaw ride here. Next, you walk around the central market of Warorot. In the afternoon, you visit Doi Suthep hill to enjoy the poetic scenery here. And in the evening, you should visit the colorful Night market here. You stay overnight at a hotel in Chiang Mai.

DAY 6: CHIANG MAI – COOKING CLASS – MAE PING RIVER CRUISE (MEALS: B,L)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, our driver and guide will pick you up and take you to a cooking class of Thai cuisine. You will be shown how to cook 5 most attractive Thai dishes.

Afternoon: You experience a 2-hour boat ride along the Mae Ping River to enjoy the poetic scenery, admire the beautiful traditional houses and green countryside. You return to the hotel to rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Chiang Mai.

DAY 7: CHIANG MAI – DOI INTHANON – CHIANG MAI (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you depart to visit Doi Inthanon National Park – it will take you about 2 hours to climb to the highest peak of Thailand. You will experience walking through the forest for about 2-3 hours. Along the way, you will enjoy the poetic view of the beautiful waterfall in the lush jungle. You will have the opportunity to visit the Pagagayaw Karen hill tribes and coffee plantations, flower farms, and beautiful terraced fields.

You will learn a lot of interesting information about the Pagagayaw Karen hill tribe. Then, you visit Vachiratharn waterfall – a beautiful 70m high waterfalls. You will enjoy the cool air here. Next, you visit the beautiful architecture of Napamaytanidol Chidi and Phra Mahathat Napaphon Bhumisiri, built to honor the 60th birthdays of King Bhumipol and Queen Sirikit. You return to the hotel to rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Chiang Mai.

DAY 8: CHIANG MAI DEPARTURE (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, our driver and guide take you on a tour of the Elephant Poopoo paper farm. This is a unique open-air museum park that introduces and explains the steps to create paper products made from elephant dung fibers. You will learn about the process of making paper from elephant dung and practice making Poopoo Paper. Then, our driver and guide will take you to the airport for your flight back home.
