ITINERARY
DAY 1: YANGON ARRIVAL (MEALS: B)
Upon your arrival at the airport, our driver and tour guide will pick you up and then depart for your hotel to check-in and rest.
Afternoon: you visit Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda – the famous temple with a 70m long Buddha statue. Then you visit China Town to discover the symbol of dragons and the colorful Khen Hock Keong Chinese temple. You will be immersed in the lively street stalls – where vendors sell a variety of fruits, vegetables and other goods. You will also admire the changing colors of the 100m high stupa inlaid with more than 40 golden canopies. You visit the stalls and our guide will introduce you to Buddhist practices and rituals in Myanmar. You return to the hotel to rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Yangon.
DAY 2: YANGON – BAGAN (MEALS: B)
You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you depart to Yangon airport for a flight to Bagan – one of the famous places with the greatest architecture in Asia. Bagan used to be the center of Myanmar from the 11th to the 13th centuries. Kings used to build many stupas and massive temples here. You will find many temples along the banks of the Irrawaddy River. Bagan’s majesty is reflected in more than 4,000 red brick temples on the vast plains like those on Manhattan Island.
You visit the vibrant Nyaung Oo market – where locals trade fresh products and a variety of other goods every day. you can look around Old Bagan from here. You visit the famous Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious memorial.
Then you visit Ananda temple, considered a beautiful work of art architecture in Bagan. The temple was built in Mon style with two special Buddha statues. Then, you visit Thatbyinnyu – the tallest temple in Bagan. Next, you visit the huge Dhammayangyi Temple famous for its remarkable brick constructions and the Sulamani Temple. You enjoy the beauty of a sunset with small hills and a panoramic view of Bagan. You stay overnight at a hotel in Bagan.

You can join the Sunset Cruise program to enjoy the beauty down the Irrawaddy River. You will pass through small villages to learn a lot of interesting information about local people’s life and admire the beauty of Buddhist temples in Myanmar. You return to the hotel and rest.
DAY 3: BAGAN VILLAGES AND TEMPLES (MEALS: B)
You enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then depart for a tour of the countryside of Bagan. You will visit the quiet rustic village of Minnanthu. Then you visit Payathonzu temple with strange structural design and Lemyentha temple, Nandamannya. Next, you visit Kyat Kan Cave monastery – famous for meditation retreats for Buddhists. You walk around the surrounding villages and learn about the lives of the locals.
You visit the village of Myinkaba – you will learn about the lives of the local people and visit the local craft workshops.
Next, you visit Gu Byaukgyi Temple – famous for its beautiful frescoes and you will see Manuha Temple – built-in 1059. Then, you visit Nanpaya Temple – the oldest temple in here. This temple was built in the 11th century by Mon King Manuha. Next, you visit the Myazei Stupa – a place of worship for Buddhist followers. You will find a lot of interesting information here.
You return to the hotel to rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Bagan.
DAY 4: BAGAN – MANDALAY SIGHTSEEING (MEALS: B)
You depart to the airport for a flight to Mandalay. Mandalay is Myanmar’s second-largest city and one of the ancient royal capitals located on the banks of the Irrawaddy River. Upon arrival, you’ll head to Sagaing – Myanmar’s spiritual center with 600 ivory-colored temples and monasteries and home to about 3,000 monks and nearly 100 meditation temples. You will visit famous temples here such as: Swan OoPonNya Shin, U Min ThoneSae and Shin Pin Nan Gyaing. Next, you visit Ava – the ancient capital from the 14th to the 18th century.
You cross the small river by ferry and ride by horse-drawn carriage to visit the wooden Bagaya monastery famous for its extremely elaborate wood carvings. You visit Nanmyint watchtower – also known as “Ava’s leaning tower“. You head back across the river and drive to the legendary U Bein Bridge – built in 1782 when Amarapura was the center of Royal attention. You return to the hotel and rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Mandalay.
DAY 5: MANDALAY – MINGUN – MANDALAY CITY TOUR (MEALS: B)
You board the Irrawaddy river cruise for about 1 hour to arrive at Mingun. You will visit famous destinations here:
Mingun Paya: is a famous monument in Myanmar that attracts many tourists to visit. Climbing to the top of this monument will admire the beautiful scenery of HsinbyumePaya, Mingun village and the romantic river in the distance. You continue to visit the beautiful plaster Hsinbyume Pagoda with its unique stupa and fascinating stories here. Then, you visit the 90-ton Mingun Bell – known as the world’s largest hanging bell.
You return to Mandalay by boat and visit the small streets of Mingun with traditional craft villages and interact with the locals. On the way back, you also visit Kyauktawgyi Pagoda – the temple of the Marble Mountains with a giant Buddha statue carved from a block of marble. You continue to visit Kuthodaw Pagoda – known for its collection of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist teachings.
Next, you depart to Shwenandaw Monastery, Golden Monastery. These are the only permanent structures from the Royal Palace in the 19th century. This structure is very impressive with its unique wood carvings.
You return to the hotel to rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Mandalay.
DAY 6: MANDALAY – HEHO – INLE LAKE (MEALS: B)
You depart to Mandalay airport for a flight to Heho. Upon arrival at Heho airport, our driver and guide will pick you up and depart for a tour of NyaungShwe village. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to visit rural workshops specializing in the production of traditional Shan paper and unique handmade umbrellas.
Next, you visit the Shweyanpyay teak monastery to admire the intricate wood carvings and ingenuity of the monks there. After that, you will board a motorboat and go to Inle Lake – a famous attraction in Myanmar. Along the way, you will enjoy the beauty around the lake as well as passing the small villages on the lake. You will get to know their daily life. You visit Nga Hpe Chaung monastery – where there are many Shan Buddha statues. Finally, you visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda – which is famous for having 5 sacred images of Buddha decorated with gold.
In addition, you also have the opportunity to visit traditional craft villages originating from Inle Lake such as: lotus silk weaving village, boat building village, cigar factory, blacksmith workshop….
You return to the hotel to rest. You stay overnight at the hotel at Inle Lake.
DAY 7: INLE LAKE – INDEIN VILLAGE (MEALS: B)
You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you visit the local market on the lake (the market is open every day except on the black and full moon days of the calendar). You will learn a lot of interesting information about the life and culture of the locals here.
You take a boat for about 1 hour to visit the Pa-Oh village of Indein, located on the West bank of Inle Lake. You walk around the village and climb to the top of the hill to admire the enchanting beauty of the peaceful surroundings. You visit the temples around the lake to learn more about Buddhism in Myanmar. Then you walk to visit Sae Ma village. Along the way, you will enjoy the natural beauty of the bamboo groves and discover the idyllic life of the locals here.
You return to the hotel to rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Inle Lake.
DAY 8: INLE LAKE – HEHO – YANGON (MEALS: B)
You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, our driver will take you to Heho airport for your flight back to Yangon. Upon your arrival at Yangon Airport, you take a flight back home. End of services. See you again!
