ITINENARY
DAY 1: LUANG PRABANG ARRIVAL (MEALS: NO)
Upon your arrival at the airport, our driver and tour guide pick you up and transfer you to the hotel in the city center. The rest of the time you relax. You stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2: LUANG PRABANG – PAK OU CAVE (MEALS: B)
In the morning, you visit Mount Phousi – one of the famous mountains of Luang Prabang so you can enjoy the beautiful view of the whole city from above.
Next, you visit Vat Xieng Thong or Royal City Temple – one of the most important monasteries of Laos built-in 1559 by King Setthathirath. This is a place to keep the spirit of religion, royalty and traditional arts.
Next, you visit Wat Visoun – a famous Laotian architecture built-in 1512 with unique architecture under King Wisunarat.
Then, you depart to the pier for a cruise upstream to visit and enjoy the poetic scenery along the river. Then, you visit Pak Ou cave – one of the caves that holds thousands of Buddha statues with unique architecture. This is a revered place of Laos and you will have the opportunity to learn a lot of useful information and take many beautiful photos here.
After that, you return to Luang Prabang city. On the way, you visit Ban Xang Hai village – a village producing traditional rice whiskey of Laos. You will learn about the production process as well as enjoy delicious glasses of wine here. Next you visit Xang Khong village – a village producing wooden paper and weaving silk of Laos.
You return to the hotel to rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Luang Prabang.
DAY 3: LUANG PRABANG – KUANG SY WATERFALL (MEALS: B)
You wake up early to enjoy the fresh air of Luang Prabang. You will see alms giving ceremony here – you will learn a lot of interesting information about local culture. You will see monks in robes from many of Luang Prabang’s temples going in long lines to ask for the offerings that the devotees give them.
After that, you visit the Royal Palace – otherwise known as the National Museum. This is a famous place to visit about the long history and culture of Luang Prabang. You will learn a lot of interesting information about the history and culture of Laos. Then, you visit Wat Mai – this beautiful temple is located near the Royal Palace and was built with the most beautiful and sophisticated architecture in the temples in Luang Prabang. The temple was built in the 18th century.
Next, you go to visit Kuang Sy waterfall – one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Luang Prang with amazing turquoise blue color. You will pass through green rice fields and culturally rich small villages along the way. Coming to Kuang Sy waterfall, you will be immersed in the cool, blue water to forget all the worries and chaos of daily life.
You return to the hotel and stay overnight at the hotel in Luang Prabang.
DAY 4: LUANG PRABANG – XIENG KHANG (MEALS: B)
You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you depart for Xieng Khuang – a destination associated with the heroic historical war of the Lao people from 1964 to 1973.
Upon your arrival, you visit the field of Jars – the home of giant stone jars. This is a famous tourist attraction of Laos that attracts many tourists to visit every year. The stone jars are at least 2000 years old with thousands of large and small jars weighing tens of tons. Other jars come in different shapes and sizes with unique patterns and textures that no expert can explain. You will listen to many interesting stories about this field of Jars.
You return to the hotel to rest.
DAY 5: DISCOVER XIENG KHANG (MEALS: B)
You wake up early and enjoy the poetic scenery of Xieng Khuang. You enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then visit the central market of Phonsavanh – where you will learn a lot of interesting information about the culture, customs and habits of indigenous peoples and their daily life here.
Next, you depart to Muang Khoun – the ancient capital and royal stronghold of Xieng Khuang was destroyed during the Indochina war. This town was rebuilt in 1975 with wooden houses, a market steeped in indigenous culture with poetic scenery of beautiful mountain ranges. You visit Wat Phia That and That Foun.
You return to the city center and visit the Mulberry farm – you will learn about the process of making silk, raising silkworms to have the most beautiful products.
You return to the hotel to rest. You stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 6: XIEN KHANG – VANG VIENG (MEALS: B)
You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you continue to depart for Vang Vieng. Along the way, you will enjoy the beautiful poetic scenery of Laos.
You enjoy lunch at a local restaurant on the halfway.
Afternoon: You check in hotel and rest. You stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 7: DISCOVER VALUE VIENG (MEALS: B)
You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you visit Vang Vieng, you move to Pha Thao village – about 15km north of Vang Vieng center. You will experience walking for about 2 hours and visiting 2 beautiful caves here.
Tham Hoi Cave (also known as Oc Cave): is a beautiful cave with a length of about 4km. You will walk around and learn a lot of interesting information about this cave.
Tham Xang Cave (also known as Elephant Cave): is a beautiful cave located in the limestone area in the northeast of Thakaek. Tham Xang is one of the famous caves with poetic and amazing scenery. From the top of the cave you can see the Mekong river stretching.
Next, you experience kayaking down the Nam Song river. You will enjoy the ravishing scenery in the afternoon sunset. You go kayaking and stop at an organic farm. Coming to this farm, you will be able to relax and learn a lot of interesting information about local agriculture. You return to town and stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 8: VIENG – VIENTIANE (MEALS: B)
You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Then, you go to visit Tham Chang Cave – one of the most beautiful caves in Vang Vieng located in the south. Tham Chang is the home of migrants and settlers near Meuang Don village. At the foot of the cave, you will see the clear water flowing from the mountain and then flowing into the river. From this cave, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of small villages and green rice fields.
Then, you get on the car to depart for Vientiane. On the way, you visit Vang Sang – where dozens of Buddha statues dating back to the 16th century are left. Then, you visit the surrounding villages to learn a lot of interesting information about the life of the local people.
You check in hotel and stay overnight in Vientiane.
DAY 9: VIENTIANE – BUDDHA PARK (MEALS: B)
You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you go to visit the capital Vientiane.
Buddha Park: is home to hundreds of Buddha statues and a giant Buddha statue. You will learn a lot of interesting information about Buddhism in Laos as well as about the unique statues here.
Vat Sisaket: famous for its monastery walls containing thousands of small Buddha statues and unique architecture. The pagoda was built in 1818 with a beautiful decoration style.
Vat Phrakeo: the temple was built in 1565 and is one of the most interesting temples in Vientiane. This temple is home to the famous Emerald Buddha.
Pha That Luang: a work built in 1566 and then rebuilt in 1930. This is the most important national and religious monument of Laos. The temple has a unique architecture that reflects the culture of Laos and has become a symbol of Laos.
Patuxay: the memorial was built in 1957 with unique architecture taken from the Arc de Triomphe of Paris combined with typical motifs of Laos. From the top of the monument, you will enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city.
You return to the hotel to rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Vientiane.
DAY 10: VIENTIANE – PAKSE – BOLAVEN PLATEAU (MEALS: B)
You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you take the flight to Pakse. Upon arrival at the airport, our driver and guide will pick you up and depart for Saravanh province via Tateng. Along the way, you stop to visit the famous traditional villages. You learn a lot of things about making tea and coffee of the locals. You can also enjoy coffee and learn a lot of interesting information about the lives of locals.
The Boloven Plateau is famous for coffee, tea, cardamom, bananas and other crops. You will enjoy the green, poetic scenery here. You visit Tad Lo Waterfall, beautiful villages: Alak, Nge, Katu and meet and interact with local people, learn about their customs and culture here.
DAY 11: PAKSE – KHONG ISLAND (MEALS: B)
You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you visit the famous Khmer temple complex, Wat Phou – a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will learn many interesting things here.
Next, you visit the Elephant Camp – where you will see elephants trained to become very tourist-friendly. You experience riding elephants to the top of Phou Asa to discover many mysteries there.
You enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After that, you go to visit 4000 islands.
DAY 12: KHONG – KHONE ISLAND DISCOVERY (MEALS: B)
You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you go to visit Don Det and Don Khone – these are two large islands possessing beautiful natural scenery. You board a cruise along the Mekong River. Along the way, you will see children playing in the water or locals fishing in the river.
You cycle to visit these two islands, you visit the fishing village of Ban Khone – where you will learn about the ruins of the French railway and visit the beautiful Liphi waterfall. You enjoy the fresh, pleasant atmosphere and take pictures of the idyllic life of the locals here.
Afternoon: You get on a motorboat and continue to visit the Cambodian border – home to the famous Irrawaddy dolphin. If you are lucky, you will see them playing in the river.
You return to the hotel and rest. You stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 13: KHONE ISLAND – PAKSE (MEALS: B)
You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you relax in Don Khong. Then you depart for Khone Papheng – one of the beautiful attractions of the 4000 Islands. You will visit a 10km long waterfall – this is one of the largest waterfalls in Laos and known as the jewel of Laos.
You return to the hotel to check-in and rest.
DAY 14: PAKSE DEPARTURE (MEALS: B)
You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you depart to the airport for the flight back home. End of services! See you again!
