ITINERARY

DAY 1: YANGON ARRIVAL (MEALS: NO)

Upon your arrival at Yangon Airport, our driver and tour guide will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel for check-in.

In the afternoon: our guide picks you up and takes you to visit Bogyoke (Scott’s) and local markets (closed on Mondays and public holidays) with hundreds of shops selling a variety of items. Next, you visit Chauk Htat Gyi – a famous temple with a very large reclining Buddha. Next, you visit Shwedagon Pagoda – one of the most beautiful religious monuments in the world. Then, you visit Garden City – a famous attraction in Yangon city that attracts many tourists to visit. You stay overnight at a hotel in Yangon.

DAY 2: YANGON – BAGAN (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you depart to the airport for a flight to Bagan. Upon arrival at the airport in Bagan, our driver and guide will pick you up and start to visit:

Local market: a busy trading place of local people. Next, you visit Shweszigon Pagoda – built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century.

Ku Byauk Gyi Temple, an exquisite temple with murals of Jataka’s landscape.

Khay Min Ga Temple – a popular attraction with beautiful panoramic views of many monuments in the area and visit Ananda Temple with four giant standing Buddhas and many sitting figures in the surrounding niches on display…

Afternoon: You visit the lacquer craft workshop in Myinkaba village. After that, you visit Manuha Temple – built in monmen style in 1059 with unique architecture. Nanbaya Temple – a unique sandstone monument believed to be the palace of King Manuha. Finally, you visit Myingaba Gu Byaukgyi Temple – famous for its ancient murals.

DAY 3: BAGAN DISCOVERY (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you will explore Bagan for the whole day with many fascinating attractions about the history, culture and life of the local people.

You visit a high temple in Bagan – you can see the amazing beauty of the surrounding plains. This is an ideal way to admire the majestic beauty of Bagan architecture. Then, you visit Myinkaba village and Gubyaukgyi temple – which is famous for its beautiful fresco paintings on the walls and very attractive plaster carvings.

Manuha Temple – a temple with a beautiful Buddha statue made of stone that attracts many visitors. Next, you visit Tu Yin Taung, a hilltop stupa to the east of the Archaeological Park. When you reach the temple, you will see 500 monk statues along the roadside.

You continue on to Lawka Nandar, located in New Bagan near the Irrawaddy River. You board the boat and visit Kyauk Gu U Min. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery of nature as well as discover the idyllic life of the locals and small riverside villages. You visit Sae Lan village – a village along the Irrawaddy river with the idyllic life of local people. You walk and learn about the lives of the locals here.

You continue to sail to Kyauk Gu U Min. You walk about 10 minutes to visit this beautiful temple. You will enjoy the intricate stone carvings depicting religious figures. You visit the cave behind the temple and practice meditation.

After sightseeing, you take the boat back to Bagan to rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Bagan.

DAY 4: GABAN – POPA MOUNTAIN – MANDALAY (MEALS: B)

This morning program, you will have the options:

Experience seeing the ancient city of Bagan with the program “Balloons Over Bagan“, you will get to see the beautiful scenery of thousands of years old pagodas, temples and the majestic Ayeyarwaddy river, these flights start at sunrise for about an hour. This program departs daily from March 10. You will have many interesting experiences here.

You continue to visit Mount Popa – an extinct volcano with an animist spirit temple called “Nats”. You climb 777 steps to reach the temple at the top of the volcano and continue walking to admire the beauty of this mountain peak.

After sightseeing, you depart for Mandalay – the old capital of Myanmar. You stay overnight at a hotel in Myanmar.

DAY 5: MANDALAY – AMARAPURA – MANDALAY (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you visit Mahagandayon, a famous Buddhist monastery, where more than a thousand monks live and study. Next, you visit the 200-year-old U Bein teak root bridge built-in 1782 at the time when Amarapura was the royal capital. You continue to visit Bagaya Monaster – famous for its beautiful collection of Buddha statues. Along the way, you stop and visit a traditional silk weaving workshop. Afternoon: you visit Mahamuni temple with Buddha statue covered with thick layers of gold leaves. You visit the Leaf and Tapestry Workshop. Next, you visit the famous Shwe Inbin monastery in the country. You visit Shwe Nan Daw Kyung and Golden Palace Monstery – wonderful buildings built with traditional wood and Kuthodaw Pagoda – famous for the world’s largest book of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. You watch the beautiful sunset from Mandalay Hill and stay overnight in the hotel in Mandalay.

DAY 6: MANDALAY – MINGUN – AVA – SAGAING – MANDALAY (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you get on a boat to cruise on the Irrawaddy River, towards the ancient capital of Mingun. Then, you visit the giant temple – where the Mingun bell is known as the largest bell in the world. Then, you visit the beautiful white Hsinbyume Pagoda.

You travel to the ancient imperial capital Inwa by a short boat ride. You take a horse-drawn carriage to explore Nanmayint Watchtower – known as “Ava’s leaning tower“. Then you visit Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery – a place built of brick and mortar with beautiful unique architecture and Bargayar Monastery, famous for its impressive wood carvings and teak pillars. Next, you visit Sagaing Hills – a resort for Buddhists and also a place to watch the beautiful sunset here.

DAY 7: MANDALAY – HEHO – PINDAYA – INLE LAKE (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After that, you depart for the airport for a flight to Heho. Upon arrival at the airport in Heho, our driver and guide will pick you up and continue to visit amazing tourist sites through the picturesque countryside of Shan State. You visit Pindaya’s limestone caves with its labyrinth of galleries of more than 8,000 Buddha statues, and local artisan workshops producing Shan paper (made from mulberry bark) and traditional umbrellas (made from the same paper used by monks around the country).

Next, you visit Inle Lake – one of the most famous landscapes of Myanmar. You will learn about the life of the Intha people around the lakeside area and the floating villages surrounding it. Arriving at Nyaung Shwe village, you check in hotel and stay overnight at local hotel.

DAY 8: INLE LAKE – INN THEIN – INLE LAKE (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you depart to visit In Dein on the south side of the lake by motorboat. You will visit this small village, walk around the village and visit the local school and beautiful old stupas. From this ancient tower, you will enjoy the wonderful beauty with a view of the lake.

DAY 9: INLE LAKE – HEHO – YANGON (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you visit Inle Lake all day by boat. You will enjoy the beauty of the lake as well as learn a lot of interesting information about the life of the river locals living around the lake. You visit the floating village in Ywama – if you have the opportunity, you will be able to visit the floating market held every 5 days. You visit Phaung Daw Oo pagoda, Inpawkhon weaving village and jumping cat monastery, with beautiful ancient Buddha statues.

Afternoon:

The car will take you to Heho airport for a flight back to Yangon. Arriving at Yangon airport, our driver will take you back to your hotel to rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Yangon.

DAY 10: YANGON DEPARTURE (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you visit Botahtaung Pagoda with beautiful stone monuments.

After that, you are free at your leisure, explore Yangon city with Chinatown or buy souvenirs for family and relatives.

Our driver picks you up and departs for Yangon airport for your flight back home. End of services! See you again!
