ITINENARY

DAY 1: LUANG PRABANG ARRIVAL (MEALS: NO)

Upon your arrival at the Luang Prabang airport, our driver and tour guide pick you up and transfer you to the hotel in city center. The rest of the time you relax. You stay overnight at a hotel in Luang Prabang.

DAY 2: LUANG PRABANG SIGHTSEEING – PAK OU CAVE (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you go to visit Vat Xieng Thong – one of the oldest temples in Luang Prabang built during the reign of King Setthathirat with beautiful and unique architecture. This pagoda is also known as “the temple of the golden city“.

Temple Royal City: one of the most important monasteries in Laos and is also a religious, royal and traditional art relic of Laos attracting many tourists to visit every year.

Then you continue to visit:

Wat Visoun: a unique architectural work representing the style and culture of Laos.

Wat Mai – a beautiful temple with an exquisite architecture built in the 18th century located near the Royal Palace. This is one of the largest and most beautifully decorated temples in Luang Prabang.

Next, you board the boat upstream to visit and enjoy the natural beauty of Laos along the river to visit Pak Ou cave – one of the beautiful caves with thousands of very unique Buddha statues. You will visit and discover a lot of interesting information about this place.

Then you return to the city. On the way, you visit Ban Xang Hai village – a small village specializing in the production of traditional rice whiskey of Laos. You will have the opportunity to enjoy this delicious wine here. Then, you visit Ban Xang Khong village – a village famous for making wooden paper and weaving Lao silk.

You stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3: LUANG PRABANG – KUANG SY WATERFALL (MEALS: B)

You wake up early and visit the traditional rituals of Lao monks. You will see a lot of monks walking silently collecting offerings in the early morning. In addition, you will enjoy the poetic and peaceful scenery of Laos. You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you go to visit the beautiful Kuang Si waterfall – one of the most majestic waterfalls in Laos. From a distance, the waterfall looks like a white silk strip with beautiful turquoise water. You can bathe and relax here. After that, you return to Luang Prabang to rest. You stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 4: LUANG PRABANG – XIENG KHOUANG (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you depart for Xieng Khouang. It takes you about 5 hours drive. This is a place associated with the historical war from 1964-1973. You visit the field of Jars – where there are giant stone jars dating back at least 2000 years. The field has thousands of large and small jars and the largest one is 2.5m in diameter and weighs tens of tons. Others come in different shapes and sizes. The jars have many strange patterns that no expert can explain. You will listen to many mysterious stories here.

You return to the hotel to check-in and rest.

DAY 5: PHOSAVANH – MUANG KHOUN (MEALS: B)

You wake up early and enjoy the fresh air of Xieng Khouang. After that, you enjoy breakfast at the hotel and visit the central market of Phonsavanh – where you will see many locals from different ethnic minorities. You will learn many interesting things about their culture, customs and habits here.

You continue to visit Muang Khoun – the ancient capital and royal stronghold of Xieng Khuang that was destroyed during the Indochina war. The town was rebuilt after 1975 and is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. You visit Wat Phia That and That Foun.

After that, you return to the city center and visit the Mulberry farm – you will learn about the silk-making process from silkworm to hand-made products.

You return to the hotel to rest. You stay overnight at the hotel!

DAY 6: XIENG KHOUANG – VANG VIENG (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you depart for Vang Vieng. Along the way, you will enjoy picturesque scenery with towering limestone hills.

Afternoon: You come to the poetic Song Riverbank and freely explore the town. You stay overnight at the hotel in Vang Vieng.

DAY 7: VANG VIENG DISCOVERY (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you go to visit Pha Thao village – about 15km north of Vang Vieng center. You will be hiking for about 2 hours. On the way, you will visit Tham Hoi cave – one of the most beautiful caves with a length of about 4km. Next, you visit Tham Xang cave – also known as Elephant Cave. This cave is located in the beautiful limestone area northeast of Thakaek. This is one of the famous caves with unique limestone formations. In addition, you can also enjoy the beautiful poetic scenery with the Mekong river in the distance.

Afternoon: You continue to visit Cham Chang cave – is one of the most important caves of Vang Vieng. At the foot of this cave, you see clear water flowing into the river. From this cave, you will be able to see a beautiful view of romantic villages and rice fields.

You return to the hotel to check-in and rest. You stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 8: VANG VIENG – VIENTIANE (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you depart for Vientiane. It takes you about 3 hours drive. Coming to Vientiane, you will enjoy the beauty of the peaceful capital of Laos. Then you visit:

Vat Sisaket: home to the famous Emerald Buddha statue. This is one of the most important temples in Vientiane, located right on the street leading to the Lao Prime Minister’s Palace.

Vat PhraKeo: a famous temple built-in 1565 in the capital of Vientiane. This is the Temple of the Emerald Buddha of the Vientiane capital.

Pha That Louang: built in 1566. This is the most important national and religious monument of Laos. The temple has a unique architecture that reflects Lao culture and identity, becoming a symbol of the Lao national spirit.

Putaxay: a famous monument built in 1957 that stands out in the city with its architecture inspired by Triomphe in Paris and combined with typical Lao motifs.

You return to the hotel and check-in. You stay overnight in the capital Vientiane.

DAY 9: VIENTIANE – PAKSE (MEALS: B)

You enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, our driver will take you to the airport for your flight to Pakse.

Arriving in Pakse, you begin your adventure with a 4-hour hike to the Bolaven plateau. You will visit local villages, coffee plantations, cross a suspension bridge and reach the plains. You will also pass through giant rocks, pine trees and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery.

You return to the hotel and check-in. You stay overnight in the hotel in Pakse

DAY 10: PAKSE – 4000 ISLANDS (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Then you go to visit Wat Phou – a famous Khmer temple of Laos – a UNESCO world heritage site.

You continue to visit Elephant Camp – where elephants are trained to be friendly animals. You experience riding elephants to the top of Phou Asa to see the mysterious ruins there.

You have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you continue to visit 4000 islands by car and boat.

DAY 11: DISCOVER 4000 ISLANDS – PAKSE (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you begin to discover Don Det and Don Khone – these are two beautiful islands. You will take a boat along the Mekong River to enjoy the poetic scenery of this place. You will see children playing in the water or fishermen catching fish by the river.

Next, you cycle to visit these two islands. You visit the fishing village of Ban Khone – you will see the ruins of the French railway and the beautiful Liphi waterfall. You enjoy the fresh air on the islands and take some photos of local life here.

In the afternoon, you board a motorboat to explore the Cambodian border. It is home to the famous Irrawaddy dolphin. If you are lucky you will see them playing and swimming in the river.

After that, you return to the hotel. You stay overnight at a hotel in Pakse.

DAY 12: PAKSE DEPARTURE (MEALS: B)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you relax until our driver picks you up at your hotel and then departs for the airport for your flight back home. End of services! See you again!
